Method

Prepare the Brownies

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

2

Melt Butter and Mix Sugars

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

3

Add Eggs and Vanilla

Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

4

Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture until just combined.

5

Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the dark chocolate chips.

6

Bake

Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

7

Cool

Allow brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Serve

8

Assemble the Dessert

Place brownie squares on plates and top each with a scoop of dulce de leche ice cream. Drizzle with dark rum and chocolate sauce.

9

Garnish

Sprinkle with sliced almonds and cocoa nibs for added texture and flavor.
