Method
Prepare Glass & Aromatics
Muddle aromatics
Place the fresh mint leaves and cucumber slices in the bottom of a 16 oz highball or Collins glass. Add the fresh lime juice, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Gently muddle 6–8 times — press just enough to release the mint oils and cucumber juice without shredding the mint leaves.
Add 1 cup of ice cubes to the glass to chill and create space for the sparkling water.
Build the Drink
Slowly pour 16 oz chilled sparkling water (or club soda) over the ice and muddled aromatics to preserve carbonation. Stir gently 3 times with a bar spoon to combine flavors without flattening the bubbles.
Finish & Serve
Taste and adjust sweetness if needed — add up to 1 more teaspoon (approx. 0.17 tbs) of simple syrup if you prefer sweeter. Give one gentle stir if you add more.
Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim and a fresh mint sprig tucked into the top of the drink. Optionally slap the mint sprig between your palms once to release aromatics before garnishing.
Serve immediately while sparkling water is still fizzy.
