Method

Cocktail

1

Combine and shake

Add light rum, gin, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, orange liqueur, fresh grapefruit juice, and Angostura bitters into a shaker filled with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

2

Prepare glass

Fill a highball or Collins glass with fresh ice (or leave it chilled if preferred).

3

Strain and top

Double-strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Top with 1.5 oz of chilled club soda and give the drink a gentle stir (1–2 turns) to integrate the soda without flattening the fizz.

Garnish & Finish

4

Express a lime wheel over the drink (squeeze the peel and run it around the rim for aroma), then drop the wheel into the glass. Slap the mint sprig once between your palms to release oils and place it on top as a final garnish.

5

Serve immediately while cold and fizzy. Complimentary — offer with a small coaster and a short description: “Minneapolis Tap — light, bright, a touch of grapefruit and effervescence.”
