Fries

Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cut and Soak Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips and place them in a bowl of cold water. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Drain and Dry

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel to remove moisture.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 4-5 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  5. 5

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, season them with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 6

    Grill the Wagyu Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the Wagyu steak with salt and black pepper. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.

  2. 7

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions, mushrooms, and sweet peppers. Sauté until they are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 8

    Assemble the Fries

On a large serving platter, arrange the crispy fries. Top them with the grilled Wagyu slices, sautéed vegetables, and place slices of white American cheese on top.

  4. 9

    Melt the Cheese

Place the assembled fries under a broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  5. 10

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot, garnished with additional sautéed vegetables if desired.
