Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste. Form the mixture into a patty approximately 1 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef Patty

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a generous amount of Monterey Jack cheese on top of the patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Tortillas

While the patty is cooking, warm the flour tortillas in a separate skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds on each side until they are soft and pliable.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Quesadilla Burger

On one tortilla, place the cooked beef patty with melted cheese. Top with shredded lettuce, a generous scoop of guacamole, and pico de gallo. Optionally add sour cream on top.

  2. 5

    Top and Finish

Cover with the second tortilla. Press down gently to compact the burger.

  3. 6

    Cook the Quesadilla

Return the assembled quesadilla to the skillet over medium heat. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Slice the quesadilla burger into wedges and serve hot with a side of salsa and extra sour cream if desired.
