- 3
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Skewer the Hot Dogs
Insert a wooden skewer into each of the 8 hot dogs, pushing it through the center until it goes about halfway through the hot dog.
Fry the Corn Dogs
- 5
Heat Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat 4 cups of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Coat Hot Dogs
Dip each skewered hot dog into the corn dog batter, allowing excess batter to drip off.
- 7
Fry Corn Dogs
Carefully lower the coated hot dogs into the hot oil, a few at a time. Fry for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking.
