Waffles

Method

Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare Chicken

In a bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Coat Chicken

In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour and cornstarch. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and dredge each piece in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.

  3. 3

    Fry Chicken

In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken strips. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Waffles

  1. 4

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  2. 5

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  3. 6

    Combine and Cook

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined (don’t overmix). Preheat the waffle maker and cook the batter according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown.

Mac & Cheese

  1. 7

    Cook Macaroni

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 8

    Make Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually add milk while whisking, cooking until the sauce thickens. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 9

    Combine

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix until well coated. Heat through if necessary.
