Method
Main Dish
- 1
Prepare the Filet
Remove the filet from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- 2
Season the Filet
Rub the filet with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 3
Cook the Filet
Place the filet on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for precision (130°F for medium-rare).
- 4
Rest the Filet
Remove the filet from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Baked Potato
- 5
Prepare the Potato
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Scrub the russet potato under running water and poke several holes in it with a fork.
- 6
Bake the Potato
Place the potato directly on the oven rack and bake for about 45-60 minutes, until the skin is crispy and the inside is soft.
- 7
Finish the Potato
Remove the potato from the oven, slice it open, and add butter, sour cream, and chopped chives.
Side Salad
- 8
Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber.
- 9
Dress the Salad
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over the salad and toss gently to combine.
Garlic Bread
- 10
Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic and chopped parsley until well combined.

- 12
Bake the Garlic Bread
Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes, until golden and toasted.
