Prepare the Meatballs

Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.

Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and browned.

Simmer the Sauce
Add crushed tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar to the saucepan. Stir to combine and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine Meatballs and Sauce
Once the meatballs are baked, add them to the marinara sauce and let them simmer together for an additional 10 minutes.
Assemble and Serve

Prepare the Rolls
Cut the baked rolls in half and lightly toast them if desired.

Serve the Meatballs
Using a slotted spoon, place meatballs onto the rolls, top with sliced provolone, and sprinkle Romano cheese on top. Serve immediately.
