Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Form and Cook the Patties

In a bowl, form the ground beef into two equal patties. Season with salt and pepper. In the same skillet used for the bacon, add the beef patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare Hash Browns

In a separate skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add hash browns and cook according to package instructions until golden and crispy. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a beef patty with melted cheese, followed by two slices of bacon, and a generous portion of hash browns. Top with the other half of the bun.

Gravy Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring no lumps form. Continue to cook until the gravy thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  2. 6

    Top the Burger with Gravy

Once the gravy is ready, pour it generously over the assembled burger.

Fries Preparation

  1. 7

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions. Typically, they can be baked in the oven or fried in oil until golden and crispy.
