Method

Cooking the Wagyu Beef

  1. 1

    Cook the Wagyu Beef

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the American Wagyu beef for about 4-5 minutes per side until it reaches your desired doneness. Season with salt and pepper while cooking. Once cooked, remove from heat and let it rest.

Preparing the Slaw

  1. 2

    Make the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage, grated carrot, and shredded red cabbage. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until everything is well combined. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Assembling the Sub

  1. 3

    Build the Sub

Slice the sub rolls in half lengthwise. On the bottom half of each roll, layer the cooked Wagyu beef, followed by a generous portion of coleslaw, and top with two slices of provolone cheese. Drizzle Russian dressing over the cheese and place the top half of the roll on to complete the sub.

Serving

  1. 4

    Serve

Cut the assembled sub in half if desired and serve immediately, enjoying the layers of flavor and texture.
