Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare shaker

Fill a cocktail shaker about two-thirds full with fresh ice (approximately 6 ice cubes) so the ingredients chill quickly.

  2. 2

    Add spirits and juices

Into the chilled shaker add 2 oz J. Carver Lake House Vodka, 1 oz Pomm (pomegranate) juice, 1 oz cranberry juice, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, and 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice.

  3. 3

    Adjust sweetness (optional)

If you prefer a slightly sweeter drink, add 0.25 oz simple syrup. The tart juices are balanced by the orange liqueur; adjust syrup to taste.

  4. 4

    Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted. This ensures proper dilution and silky texture.

  5. 5

    Strain

Double-strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer (or a single fine strainer) to remove ice shards and any pulp or seeds.

  6. 6

    Garnish and serve

Express a lemon twist over the cocktail to release oils, rim it along the glass and drop it in, or sprinkle a few pomegranate seeds on top. Serve immediately.
