Method

Fruit

1

Prepare fruit

Wash all fruit thoroughly. Hull and quarter the strawberries. Rinse and drain blueberries. Slice peaches or nectarines into 1/4-inch slices and then cut into bite-sized pieces if desired. Halve grapes. Peel and cube any additional seasonal fruit (mango, pineapple, plums or pears) into roughly 3/4-inch pieces. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl so flavors can be combined.

2

If using delicate fruit (very ripe berries or peaches), set aside a few whole or halved pieces for garnish so they retain visual appeal.

Dressing & Finish

3

Make dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, honey (or maple syrup), lemon zest and orange liqueur or juice if using, until honey is dissolved and dressing is smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity: add another 1/2 teaspoon honey if you prefer sweeter, or 1/2 teaspoon more lemon juice for brighter acidity. Stir in a pinch of coarse sea salt and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper to elevate flavors.

4

Toss fruit with dressing

Pour the dressing over the bowl of prepared fruit. Gently fold the fruit with a flexible spatula or large spoon until all pieces are lightly coated, taking care not to mash delicate berries. Let the fruit sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes to macerate slightly and allow flavors to meld.

5

Add mint and adjust

Just before serving, add the thinly sliced fresh mint to the fruit and gently fold to distribute. Taste and adjust seasoning with another small pinch of salt or a squeeze of lemon if needed.

Assembly & Serving

6

Spoon the dressed seasonal fruit into a shallow serving bowl or into individual bowls. Arrange any reserved whole or halved fruit on top for a decorative touch.

7

If using optional garnishes, sprinkle toasted nuts over the fruit for crunch and serve with a dollop of Greek yogurt or whipped cream on the side or atop each portion.

8

Serve immediately, or refrigerate the fruit covered for up to 24 hours. Note that very soft fruit will release more juice over time; if storing, stir gently before serving and drain excess liquid if desired.
