Method

Bottle

1

Inspect the sealed 16 fl oz (473 ml) bottled water for damage or leaks. Check the expiry/bottling date if present.

2

If the bottle is sealed, remove the cap by twisting it counterclockwise until it comes off. If the bottle is already open, confirm the water appears clear and odorless.

3

Hold the bottle upright and drink directly from it, or pour into a glass if preferred.

4

After drinking, replace the cap if you have remaining water to store; tighten the cap by turning clockwise until snug to minimize contamination.

5

Store unopened bottled water in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Once opened and resealed, refrigerate and consume within 24–48 hours for best taste.

Optional additions

6

Chilled with ice

If you prefer chilled water, pour the bottled water into a glass filled with 3–4 ice cubes and enjoy immediately.

7

With lemon or mint

To lightly flavor the water, add 1 lemon slice and/or 1 mint sprig to the glass after pouring. Allow to sit 1–2 minutes for subtle infusion, then sip.
