Preparation
Prepare the Waffle Fries
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the waffle cut potatoes to the hot oil in batches. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Make the Cajun Ranch Seasoning
In a bowl, combine ranch seasoning mix, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle the Cajun ranch seasoning over them generously, tossing to coat evenly.
Prepare the Seasoned Sour Cream
In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with a pinch of Cajun ranch seasoning for added flavor.
Serve
Serve the Cajun ranch waffle fries hot with the seasoned sour cream on the side for dipping.
