Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy coating.
Bread the Chicken
First, dip each chicken strip into the flour, making sure to coat it evenly. Shake off any excess flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
Cooking the Chicken Tenders
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C). You can test if it’s ready by dropping a small piece of breadcrumb into the oil; if it sizzles, it’s ready.
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
