Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Inspired by the best flavours of the season, this malty winter favourite is smooth & rich with a chocolate & vanilla finish.

In a large pot, heat 5 liters of water to approximately 70°C (158°F). Add the Pale Malt, Crystal Malt, Chocolate Malt, and Black Malt. Stir well and let it rest for 60 minutes.

Prepare the Mash

After the mash has rested, sparge the grains with hot water to collect the wort. The total volume should be about 4.5 liters.

Bring the wort to a boil, then add the Cascade Hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding the Fuggle Hops in the last 15 minutes of the boil.

Cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches about 20°C (68°F).

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Add the Ale Yeast and mix gently. Seal the vessel with an airlock and ferment for 1-2 weeks.

Fermentation

In the last few days of fermentation, add the Vanilla Extract and Cocoa Powder to the fermenter, stirring gently to incorporate.

Add Flavorings

Once fermentation is complete, bottle the ale using sanitized bottles and caps. Allow the bottles to condition for at least 2 weeks.
