Method
Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Ribs
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
Make the Dry Rub
In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
Apply the Rub
Rub the mixture generously all over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated. Drizzle the liquid smoke over the ribs.
Wrap and Bake
Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
Final Bake
Increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven (uncovered) for an additional 20-30 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
Serve
Remove from the oven, let rest for a few minutes, then slice between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
