Method

Base Milkshake (applies to all flavors)

1

Chill glass

If desired, place the serving glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to chill while you prepare the shake.

2

Add whole milk, vanilla ice cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to a blender.

3

Blend on medium-high for 20–30 seconds until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides once if needed.

4

Taste the base for sweetness and texture. If too thick, add up to 2 tablespoons more milk and pulse to combine. If too thin, add a few tablespoons more ice cream.

Chocolate Milkshake

5

With the base in the blender, add the cocoa powder and chocolate syrup. Blend 10–15 seconds until fully incorporated and color is even.

6

Pour into the chilled glass. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and an extra drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired.

Strawberry Milkshake

7

If using frozen strawberries, let them sit 2–3 minutes to soften slightly. Add the strawberries and optional strawberry syrup to the base in the blender.

8

Blend 20–30 seconds until smooth. If you prefer seeded texture, pulse less. Pour into the chilled glass and top with whipped cream and a strawberry or sprinkles if desired.

Blueberry Milkshake

9

Add blueberries and optional lemon zest to the prepared base in the blender.

10

Blend 20–25 seconds until puréed and evenly colored. Taste and add a pinch more sugar or syrup if blueberries are tart. Pour into the chilled glass and garnish with whipped cream and extra blueberries if desired.

Vanilla Bean Milkshake

11

Replace the vanilla extract in the base with vanilla bean paste or scraped seeds (or add paste in addition to extract for extra flavor). Blend 15–20 seconds until the bean flecks are evenly distributed.

12

Pour into the chilled glass and top with whipped cream and a light dusting of ground cinnamon or a vanilla bean pod for presentation.

Caramel Brownie Milkshake

13

Add the brownie pieces and caramel sauce to the prepared base in the blender. If you like visible brownie bits, pulse 3–4 times; for a smoother texture, blend 15–20 seconds.

14

Taste and add a small pinch of sea salt if you want a salted-caramel flavor. Pour into the chilled glass, drizzle extra caramel on top, add whipped cream, a brownie piece, and a pinch of sea salt if using.

Serve

15

Serve immediately with a straw and long spoon. Clean the blender promptly to prevent caramel or fruit residue from sticking.
