Tea Base
Brew the tea
Bring 2 cups water to a gentle boil. Remove from heat and steep 2 black tea bags (or 2 tsp loose leaf) in the hot water for 4–5 minutes to make a strong brew. Remove tea bags or strain leaves and let the tea cool to room temperature (about 15–20 minutes).
Optional quick-cool: refrigerate the brewed tea for 10 minutes or place the container in an ice bath to speed chilling.
Fruit Blend
In a measuring pitcher, combine 1 cup apple juice, 1/2 cup peach nectar, 1/4 cup white grape (or pear) juice, and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. Stir to combine.
Taste the blend and adjust fruit balance if needed (add up to 1–2 tbsp extra peach or apple juice for more sweetness/fruity flavor).
Sweetener & Finish
Add the cooled brewed tea to the fruit blend and stir gently to combine. This yields a balanced tea-to-juice ratio reminiscent of a bottled fruit tea.
Add 2 teaspoons granulated sugar (or 2 tsp simple syrup) and stir until dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness to preference (add up to 1 tbsp simple syrup total if desired).
Fill serving glasses with ice (about 1 cup ice per 2 servings total; adjust per glass). Pour the combined tea-fruit mixture over the ice.
Garnish each glass with fresh fruit slices (apple, peach, or lemon) and 2–3 mint leaves if using. Serve immediately chilled.
