Gather Ingredients

Collect all the ingredients listed above. Make sure you have a mixing glass, bar spoon, and a strainer ready.

Prepare the Mixing Glass

Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes to chill the glass while you prepare the drink.

Combine Bourbons

Pour 2 oz of Bulleit Bourbon and 2 oz of Maker's Mark Bourbon into the mixing glass over the ice.

Add Bitters and Syrup

Add 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters and 1 tsp of Simple Syrup to the bourbon mixture.

Stir the Mixture

Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled and combined.

Strain into Glass

Using a strainer, pour the mixture into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice cubes.

Garnish

Twist the piece of orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
