Prepare the Oats

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Stir in the steel-cut oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20-30 minutes or until the oats are tender and the mixture is creamy.

Once the oats are cooked to your desired consistency, stir in the brown sugar and honey until fully dissolved.

Fold in the golden raisins, allowing them to plump slightly in the warm oatmeal.
