Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This allows for even cooking.

2

Season the Steak

Rub the steak generously with sea salt on both sides. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil to coat the surface.

Cooking

3

Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a heavy skillet over high heat for about 5-10 minutes until very hot.

4

Cook the Steak

Place the steak on the grill or in the pan. For medium-rare, cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, adjusting the time for your preferred doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.

5

Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Serving

6

Serve the Steak

Slice the ribeye against the grain and serve with your choice of side. Enjoy!
