Glass + Garnish

Method

Glass + Garnish

1

Prepare rim

Pour smoked salt onto a small plate and mix in the freshly cracked black pepper. Run the lemon wedge around the outer rim of a highball or pint glass to moisten. Dip the glass rim into the smoked salt/pepper mixture, rotating to coat evenly. Tap off excess.

2

Place a large handful of ice into the prepared glass. Set the pickled green bean (or celery stalk) on the rim or inside the glass as garnish.

Cocktail

3

In a cocktail shaker (no need to shake the beer), combine Tito's Vodka (1.5 oz), Bloody Mary mix (4 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz), Worcestershire sauce (3 dashes), hot sauce (2 dashes), prepared horseradish (0.5 tsp, optional), celery salt (0.25 tsp) and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Add a few ice cubes (about half a cup) to the shaker.

4

Gently roll or give a quick 6–8 second shake to chill and lightly dilute the mixture — you want it mixed and chilled but not overly aerated.

5

Strain the chilled Bloody Mary base into the prepared glass over the fresh ice. Slowly top with chilled Miller Lite (3 oz) by pouring down the side of the glass so the beer layers lightly and keeps some effervescence.

6

Give the assembled drink one gentle stir (1–2 revolutions) to integrate beer with the Bloody Mary base without flattening it.

7

Garnish with the pickled green bean (or celery stalk) and a lemon wedge on the rim. Taste and adjust heat or seasoning with extra hot sauce, Worcestershire, or celery salt to taste.
