Method

Preparing the Salad Base

  1. 1

    Wash the Romaine Lettuce

Start by washing the two heads of Romaine lettuce under cold running water to remove any dirt or grit. Pat them dry with a clean towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Chop the Lettuce

Once dried, chop the Romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.

  3. 3

    Add Croutons and Parmesan

Add the croutons and freshly grated Parmesan cheese to the bowl with the chopped Romaine lettuce.

Making the Dressing

  1. 4

    Prepare the Dressing Ingredients

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 minced garlic clove, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 2 anchovy fillets.

  2. 5

    Mix the Dressing

Using a whisk or a fork, mix the ingredients together until smooth and well combined. Taste the dressing and add salt and black pepper to taste, adjusting as necessary.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 6

    Combine Lettuce and Dressing

Pour the prepared Caesar dressing over the chopped Romaine lettuce, croutons, and Parmesan cheese in the salad bowl.

  2. 7

    Toss the Salad

Using salad tongs or clean hands, gently toss the salad together until all ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.

  3. 8

    Serve Immediately

Serve the Caesar salad immediately on chilled plates or bowls for the best experience.
