Slider Patties & Assembly

Method

Slider Patties & Assembly

1

Make and shape patties

In a medium bowl combine 1 lb ground beef, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper and 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. Gently mix with your hands just until combined — do not overwork. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions (about 2.7 oz / ~75 g each). Roll each portion loosely into a ball and flatten into rounds slightly larger than the slider buns (about 2.5–3 inches).

2

Preheat cooking surface

Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat until hot (about 3–4 minutes). If using a skillet, add a light brush of oil or a quick spritz of cooking spray to prevent sticking.

3

Cook patties

Place patties on the hot skillet with space between them. Cook for 2.5–3 minutes undisturbed to get a brown crust. Flip and cook another 2 minutes for medium doneness (adjust time for desired doneness). In the last 30–45 seconds of cooking, place one cheese slice over each patty and cover the skillet with a lid or a large pan to melt the cheese for about 30–45 seconds.

4

Prepare buns

While patties finish, split the 6 slider buns. Spread the 2 tbsp softened butter on the cut sides of the buns. Toast buttered buns, cut side down, in a separate skillet or on the griddle over medium heat until golden, about 1–2 minutes.

5

Assemble sliders

Place a toasted bottom bun on a plate. Add a lettuce leaf if using, then a cheeseburger patty. Top each patty with 2 pickle chips and a few thin red onion slices. Drizzle 1 tbsp ketchup and about 1/3 tbsp mustard (or to taste) on each top bun, then close the slider.

Toppings & Condiments

6

Distribute the 6 tbsp ketchup and 2 tbsp mustard evenly across the 6 sliders (approximately 1 tbsp ketchup and 1/3 tbsp mustard per slider). Place 2 pickle chips on each slider. If desired, add a pickled jalapeño slice to one or two sliders for a spicy option. Use the thin red onion slices to taste (about 1–2 rings per slider).

Optional Finishing

7

If you like, sprinkle sesame seeds onto the top of each bun before toasting or press a few onto the buttered tops after toasting so they stick. Serve sliders immediately while hot.
