Method

Cheese Preparation

1

Prepare the Cheese

Take the mozzarella cheese sticks and freeze them for about 30 minutes. This will help them hold their shape during frying.

2

Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, set up your breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

3

Bread the Cheese Sticks

Take a mozzarella stick from the freezer, coat it in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure it is well coated. Repeat for all cheese sticks.

Frying

4

Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can use a thermometer for accuracy.

5

Fry the Mozzarella Logs

Carefully place the breaded mozzarella sticks into the hot oil, a few at a time. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown. Avoid overcrowding the pan.

6

Drain the Logs

Once golden brown, remove the mozzarella logs and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Serving

7

Serve

Serve the mozzarella logs hot, with marinara sauce on the side for dipping if desired.
