Fruit & Juice

Method

Fruit & Juice

  1. 1

    Prepare fruit

Peel the mango, discard the seed, and dice the flesh into chunks. Core the apple, quarter it and remove any large seeds. If you prefer a smoother, less pulpy drink, peel the apple before using.

  2. 2

    Blend

Place the diced mango, apple quarters, fresh orange juice, and cold water into a blender. Add the lime juice if using. Blend on high until smooth, about 30–45 seconds. Pause and scrape down the sides once if needed.

  3. 3

    Sweeten & Adjust

Taste the mixture. If you want it sweeter, add honey or agave syrup 1 teaspoon at a time and blend briefly to incorporate. If the mixture is too thick, add up to 1/4 cup more cold water and blend again until you reach the desired consistency.

  4. 4

    Strain (optional)

If you prefer a pulp-free juice, pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer or chinois into a large pitcher, pressing with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard remaining solids.

  5. 5

    Serve

Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the tropical juice over the ice. Garnish each glass with a sprig of mint if desired. Serve immediately.
