With its light body and delicate hop aroma, this pilsner offers a clean finish that pairs beautifully with any meal or a sunny day. Enjoy the essence of tradition and craftsmanship in every sip.

Heat 5 liters of water to approximately 68°C (155°F). Add the Pilsner malt and rice into the water. Maintain this temperature for about 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mashing

After mashing, sparge the grain with additional hot water to extract more sugars. Collect the wort in a large pot.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil. Once boiling, add the Hallertau hops and boil for 60 minutes. 15 minutes before the end of the boil, add the Saaz hops.

Boiling

After the boil, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or ice bath until it reaches about 20°C (68°F).

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort into a sanitized fermentation vessel. Add the lager yeast and seal the vessel. Ferment at 10-12°C (50-54°F) for 2 weeks.

Fermentation

After fermentation is complete, siphon the beer into sanitized bottles, leaving some space at the top. Cap the bottles and let them carbonate at room temperature for 1-2 weeks.

Bottling

Chill the bottles in the fridge and enjoy your homemade HOYNE pilsner!
