Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the Appleton Estate 12 Year Old Dark Rum, simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and Angostura bitters.

Shake
Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim of the glass.
