Method

Prepare the Salmon

Season and Cook the Salmon

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the salmon fillets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through.

Cook the Sea Island Red Peas

Simmer the Peas

In a pot, combine the sea island red peas, water, chopped onion, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes or until tender.

Make the Turnip Chow Chow

Prepare Chow Chow

In a saucepan, combine diced turnips, vinegar, sugar, mustard seeds, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes until turnips are tender.

Sauté the Baby Mustard Greens

Sauté the Greens

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add baby mustard greens, sauté for 3-5 minutes until wilted. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
