Method
Prepare Fruit
- 1
Wash and dry
Rinse strawberries, grapes, and blueberries in a colander under cool running water. Pat dry thoroughly with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel to prevent dilution of juices on the plate.
- 2
Prepare strawberries
Hull the strawberries by removing the green tops and any stems. Slice each strawberry in half lengthwise (quarter large berries) so they sit flat on the plate and are easy to pick.
- 3
Prep grapes and blueberries
Remove any stems from the grapes. If grapes are large, halve them. Leave blueberries whole.
- 4
Cut pineapple
If using fresh pineapple slices, cut each slice into 6–8 bite-size wedges. If using pre-cut pineapple, trim any tough core pieces so all pieces are tender and uniform in size.
- 5
Peel and slice kiwi
Peel the kiwi with a paring knife or spoon, then slice into 1/4-inch rounds or half-moons depending on presentation preference.
- 6
Separate mandarin segments
Peel the mandarin or clementine and separate into individual segments, removing any membrane if desired for a cleaner bite.
Assemble Plate
- 7
Choose a small serving plate (6–8 inches) or a shallow bowl. Arrange the prepared fruit in small, distinct clusters around the plate so colors contrast — for example, place strawberry halves in one cluster, a mound of blueberries next to them, grape cluster opposite, pineapple wedges fan-shaped, kiwi slices overlapping, and mandarin segments filling gaps.
- 8
Aim for balance and easy picking: keep similar-sized pieces together and leave space between clusters so each fruit is visible and accessible.
Finish & Serve
- 9
Optional glaze: Whisk together the honey and lime juice until smooth. Drizzle very lightly over the fruit plate or serve on the side for guests to add. Use only a small amount to avoid overpowering fresh flavors.
- 10
Garnish by tucking mint leaves around the fruit clusters or placing 2–3 leaves on top for color and aroma.

- 12
Serve immediately at cool room temperature or chilled (cover and refrigerate up to 1 hour). Consume within a few hours for best texture and flavor.
