Cocktail
Prepare shaker
Fill a cocktail shaker about two-thirds full with ice.
Measure and combine
Pour 2 oz white rum, 3 oz guava nectar, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 1 oz pineapple juice into the shaker. If you prefer a slightly sweeter drink, add 0.25 oz simple syrup. Add 1 dash of Angostura bitters if using.
Shake
Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold and slightly frosty. This chills and dilutes the drink to balance sweetness and acidity.
Strain and serve
Fill a highball or coupe glass with fresh ice (if serving on the rocks) or leave empty for a straight-up coupe. Double-strain the cocktail into the glass to remove small ice shards and any pulp from the guava nectar.
Garnish & Finish
Garnish the drink with a lime wheel or wedge and a pineapple wedge or small leaf on the rim. Optionally, float a small sprig of mint or grate a touch of nutmeg on top for an aromatic finish.
Serve immediately with a straw if on the rocks. Taste and adjust future batches by altering guava nectar (sweeter) or lime (more tart) to suit preference.
