Method
Garnish & Rim
- 1
Prepare cinnamon-sugar rim
On a small plate, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon and mix until evenly distributed. Rub the lime wedge around the outer rim of a chilled rocks or coupe glass. Dip the wet rim into the cinnamon-sugar mixture, twisting to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.
Cocktail
- 2
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 3/4 full).
- 3
Add Bacardi Spiced rum (2 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz), simple syrup (0.5 oz), and 2 dashes Angostura bitters to the shaker.
- 4
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is very cold and well chilled.
- 5
Double strain the cocktail into the prepared cinnamon-sugar rimmed glass over fresh ice (optional) using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer to remove small ice chips and any citrus pulp.
- 6
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge hooked on the rim or floated on top. Optionally sprinkle a tiny pinch (a trace) of extra ground cinnamon over the top for aroma.
- 7
Serve immediately.
