Muddle mint and sweetener
In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass, place the 8 fresh mint leaves and 1 tsp Splenda. Gently muddle the mint and Splenda together 6–8 times with a muddler or the back of a bar spoon — press just enough to release the mint oils and dissolve the sweetener without shredding the leaves.
- 3
Add lime and vodka
Add 0.75 oz fresh lime juice and 2 oz Tito's Vodka to the shaker with the muddled mint and Splenda.
- 4
Shake with ice
Fill the shaker with ice (about 3/4 full). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.
- 5
Assemble the drink
Discard the chilling ice from the prepared glass (if used). Fill the glass with 1 cup crushed ice. Strain the shaken mixture over the crushed ice using a fine strainer or Hawthorne strainer to keep mint fragments out, distributing the liquid evenly.

Top and finish
Top the cocktail with 2 oz soda water, gently stir once or twice to combine the soda with the base while keeping effervescence. Taste and, if desired, add an additional small pinch (1/4–1/2 tsp) of Splenda and gently stir to adjust sweetness.

Garnish and serve
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and a fresh mint sprig slapped between your palms to release aroma, then placed on top. Serve immediately with a straw.
