Method
Prepare the Fish
- 1
Marinate the Fish
In a bowl, combine the olive oil, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the white fish fillets and coat well. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 2
Cook the Fish
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated fish and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Salsa
- 3
Mix the Salsa Ingredients
In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeño, and salt. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
Assemble the Tacos
- 4
Warm the Tortillas
In the same skillet used for the fish, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until they are pliable.
- 5
Build the Tacos
Place a few pieces of cooked fish on each tortilla, top with fresh salsa, and add any optional toppings like avocado slices and sour cream. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
