Shrimp Preparation
Cook the Shrimp
Once the water is boiling, add the jumbo shrimp to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Do not overcook.
Ice Bath
Prepare a bowl of ice water. Once the shrimp are cooked, immediately transfer them to the ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5 minutes.
Cocktail Sauce Preparation
Mix Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of hot sauce.
Season to Taste
Stir the cocktail sauce well and add salt to taste. Adjust the spiciness by adding more horseradish or hot sauce if desired.
Serving
Plate the Shrimp
Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.
Serve with Sauce
Serve the shrimp with the house-made cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
