Method
Cocktail
- 1
Prepare glass
Select a large wine glass or an old‑fashioned/highball glass. Fill the glass generously with ice until nearly full — this keeps the cocktail chilled and preserves carbonation.
- 2
Build the drink
Pour 2 oz Aperol over the ice first. This helps the liqueur sit near the ice and mix more gently.
- 3
Add sparkling wine
Slowly pour 3 oz chilled Prosecco (or another dry sparkling wine) into the glass. Pour gently down the side if possible to preserve bubbles and reduce foaming.
- 4
Top with soda
Add 1 oz chilled soda water to the top of the glass. Adjust the amount to taste — some prefer 1.5–2 oz for a lighter, more refreshing spritz.

- 6
Garnish and serve
Float or wedge one fresh orange slice on the rim or inside the glass as garnish. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
