Method
Irish Cream Preparation
Making Irish Cream
In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, Irish whiskey, vanilla extract, and chocolate syrup. Whisk until all ingredients are well blended and the mixture is smooth.
Storing Irish Cream
Transfer the Irish cream mixture into a bottle or jar. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Double Brewed Coffee Preparation
Brewing Coffee
In a large pot, add the coarse ground coffee and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let it steep for another 5 minutes before straining the coffee into a separate container.
Double Brewing
For double brewing, use this brewed coffee as the water in a second batch of coffee. Repeat the brewing process to intensify the flavor.
Assembly
Pouring the Ingredients
In a pint glass, fill half with double brewed coffee and then top it with house-made Irish cream. Stir gently to combine.
Adding the Toppings
Top the mixture with whipped cream. Melt the chocolate and use it to create a Celtic cross decoration on top of the whipped cream.
Serving
Serve immediately while the coffee is warm and enjoy your Irish Tonic!
