We endowed this straight up juice bomb with a double dry hop of Mosaic, Citra, El Dorado and Azacca for a blast of mango, stone fruit, lime and pine. It’s not a mirage, but a tasty refreshing oasis in your pursuit of haziness.

In a large brew kettle, heat 5 liters of filtered water to about 165°F (74°C). Add the pale malt, caramel malt, and flaked wheat to the water and stir well. Maintain the temperature at around 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes.

Mash the Grains

After the mash is complete, slowly sparge with additional hot water to collect approximately 6 liters of wort in your brew kettle.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a vigorous boil. Once boiling, add Mosaic hops and boil for 60 minutes.

Bring to a Boil

With 15 minutes remaining in the boil, add Citra hops, El Dorado hops, and Azacca hops to the kettle.

Add Flavor Hops

After the boil, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches about 70°F (21°C).

Cool the Wort

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermenter. Sprinkle the American Ale yeast over the surface and seal the fermenter with an airlock.

Pitch Yeast

Allow the beer to ferment for about 1-2 weeks at around 68°F (20°C), or until fermentation activity has ceased.

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of water and add to the beer. Gently mix to avoid oxidation.

Prepare Bottling

Fill sanitized bottles with the beer, leaving a small headspace at the top. Cap the bottles securely.

Bottle the Beer

Let the bottled beer carbonate at room temperature for about 1-2 weeks before chilling and enjoying.
