Prepare the Pears
Wash the pears thoroughly under running water. Remove the stems and cores, then chop them into quarters.

Simmer the Mixture
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Strain the Cider
After simmering, remove the pot from heat. Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the liquid into a large bowl or pitcher, discarding the solids.

Cool and Serve
Allow the cider to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh pear slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder if desired.
