Method

Patty Melt Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the onion and mushrooms thinly. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

    Sauté Onions and Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and sauté until they are caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for another 3-5 minutes until soft.

  3. 3

    Cook the Angus Patty

In the same skillet, add the Angus beef patty and cook to your desired doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium). Top with Swiss cheese during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Patty Melt

Spread serrano aioli on one side of each slice of sourdough bread. On one slice, layer the cooked bacon, sautéed onions, mushrooms, and the cooked Angus patty with melted cheese. Top with the second slice of sourdough aioli-side down.

  5. 5

    Toast the Patty Melt

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, pressing down gently with a spatula.

String Fries Directions

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries. Rinse them in cold water to remove excess starch.

  2. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.

  3. 8

    Prepare Fry Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and mayonnaise until well combined. Adjust the ratio to taste.
