Method
Preparing the Chicken Wings
- 1
Season and Coat the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and baking powder. Toss well to ensure even coating.
- 2
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- 3
Arrange Wings on Rack
Place the seasoned wings in a single layer on the wire rack. This will allow the hot air to circulate around the wings, making them crispy.
Cooking the Wings
- 4
Bake the Wings
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Preparing the Buffalo Sauce
- 5
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- 6
Combine Ingredients
Once the butter is melted, stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Coating the Wings
- 7
Toss Wings in Buffalo Sauce
In a large bowl, toss the baked wings with the buffalo sauce until they are well coated.
Making the Blue Cheese Dressing
- 8
Mix Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the crumbled blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.
- 9
Chill Dressing
Cover the dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serving
- 10
Plate and Serve
Serve the buffalo wings hot with the blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
