Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground Angus beef, Bucktown spice blend, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form into patties, making sure they are slightly larger than your buns as they will shrink while cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add blue cheese crumbles on top of the patties to melt.

Sautéing the Toppings

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and diced onions. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the onions are translucent. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Preparing the Fries and Bun

  1. 4

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions, either by baking or frying until crispy and golden brown.

  2. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the fries are cooking, toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are golden brown.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun, place a cooked Angus patty topped with melted blue cheese, followed by a generous amount of sautéed mushrooms and onions. Sprinkle bacon bits on top and cover with the top half of the bun.

Preparing the Fry Sauce

  1. 7

    Mix the Fry Sauce

In a small bowl, combine ketchup, mayonnaise, and garlic powder. Mix well until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.
