Method
Preparation
- 1
Soak the Dates
Begin by soaking the Medjool dates in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften them. This will make them easier to blend.
- 2
Blend the Protein Base
In a food processor, add the grass-fed beef jerky, beef tallow, collagen powder, and colostrum powder. Pulse until you have a coarse mixture.
- 3
Add Sweeteners
Drain the soaked dates and add them to the food processor along with the raw honey. Blend until the mixture is well combined and sticky.
- 4
Incorporate Flavor Enhancers
Add the cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the mixture. Blend again until everything is thoroughly mixed and has a dough-like consistency.
- 5
Shape the Bars
Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture to the dish and press it down firmly to create an even layer, about 1 inch thick.
- 6
Chill and Cut
Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to firm up. Once set, remove from the dish and cut into bars.
