Preparation

1

Inspect bottle

Remove the Cesconi Kruezer from storage. Check the bottle for a clean cork or screwcap and ensure the label and fill level look normal.

2

Decide serving temperature

Cesconi Kruezer is an Italian white that is best served chilled. Aim for 45–50°F (7–10°C). If the bottle has been stored at cellar temperature (55–60°F / 13–15°C) use the quick chill steps below; if already refrigerated, proceed to open and serve.

Chilling (if needed)

3

Place the bottle upright in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours to bring it down to serving temperature gently. This method preserves aromas and effervescence (if any).

4

Ice-water bath (fast chill)

If short on time, submerge the bottle in a container filled with ice and cold water (use about 2 cups ice and 1 liter cold water) for 20–30 minutes. Stir the water occasionally to speed cooling. Do not just use ice without water — the water-to-ice contact chills more efficiently.

5

Quick freezer chill (use with caution)

As a last resort, place the bottle in the freezer for 15–20 minutes, setting a timer to avoid freezing. Remove promptly when it reaches the target temperature range.

Opening & Pouring

6

Open bottle

If screwcap: twist off cleanly and discard cap. If cork: use a waiter’s corkscrew or two-pronged puller — center the screw, turn until just past the worm’s length, and pull steadily to avoid cork breakage. Wipe the rim with a cloth if necessary.

7

Smell & taste check

Pour a small 1–2 oz (30–60 ml) sample into a glass and smell to confirm there are no off aromas (vinegar, wet cardboard). Taste a sip to ensure the wine is in good condition.

8

Serve

Pour about 4–6 oz (120–180 ml) per glass, filling to the widest part of a white wine glass to concentrate aromatics. Optional: float a lemon or lime wedge on the rim or squeeze a tiny amount into the glass for a citrus accent.

Storage after opening

9

Recork the bottle with the original cork or a reusable stopper and refrigerate upright. Consume within 3–5 days for best freshness. If you notice spoilage (sharp vinegar, loss of fruit), discard.
