Prepare glass
Select a large wine glass (or rocks glass). Fill the glass generously with ice cubes so the drink stays chilled and dilution is controlled.

Add Aperol
Pour 3 oz Aperol over the ice. Pouring over the ice helps chill the liqueur immediately.

Add Prosecco
Carefully add 2 oz chilled Prosecco. Pour slowly down the side of the glass or over the back of a spoon to retain some effervescence and create a layered look.

Top with soda
Gently add 1 oz chilled soda water to top the drink. Stir once very gently with a bar spoon (just one or two slow turns) to combine without knocking out too many bubbles.

Garnish and serve
Garnish with one fresh orange slice placed on the rim or floated in the glass. Serve immediately while sparkling and chilled.
