Add whiskey
Measure and pour 2 oz Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey over the ice.
Add cola
Slowly top with 4 oz chilled cola, pouring gently down the side or over a bar spoon to preserve carbonation.
Add lime
Roll the half lime on the counter to loosen juices, then squeeze the juice of the lime half (about 1/2 lime) into the drink. Optionally drop the squeezed half into the glass for extra aroma.
Stir and garnish
Give the drink one or two gentle stirs with a bar spoon to combine without flattening the cola. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim if desired.
Serve
Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.
Garnish (optional)
If using a lime wheel, slice a 1/4" wheel from the remaining lime and make a small cut to place it on the glass rim. For a wedge, cut the lime half into a wedge and place it on the rim.
