Classic Citrus Cola (single-serving)

Homemade Lemonade (one pitcher, ~6 servings)

Method

Classic Citrus Cola (single-serving)

1

Prepare glass

Fill a highball or Collins glass with 1 cup of ice.

2

Combine flavors

Add 0.5 oz fresh lime juice and 0.5 oz simple syrup over the ice.

3

Top with cola

Pour 8 oz chilled cola into the glass slowly to preserve fizz. Stir gently once with a bar spoon to combine; avoid vigorous stirring to keep carbonation.

4

Garnish and serve

Float a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw.

Homemade Lemonade (one pitcher, ~6 servings)

5

Make simple syrup (if not prepared)

Combine equal parts sugar and water (for this recipe 1 cup sugar + 1 cup water) in a small saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate if not using immediately.

6

Juice lemons

Juice enough lemons to yield 1 cup of fresh lemon juice (about 6-8 medium lemons). Strain seeds and excess pulp through a fine sieve if you prefer a clear lemonade.

7

Mix pitcher

In a 2-quart pitcher, combine 1 cup fresh lemon juice and 1 cup simple syrup. Add 4 cups cold water and stir until fully combined. Taste and adjust: add more water if too strong, or up to 2 tablespoons more syrup if you prefer sweeter.

8

Chill and serve

Add 4 cups of ice to the pitcher or to individual glasses. Garnish each glass with lemon slices and optional mint sprigs. Serve immediately and keep leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days.

Ginger Fizz (single-serving)

9

Prepare glass

Fill a tall glass with 1 cup ice.

10

Add lime and bitters

Squeeze 0.5 oz fresh lime juice over the ice. Add 2 dashes Angostura bitters if using.

11

Pour ginger beer

Slowly pour 8 oz chilled ginger beer into the glass to preserve carbonation. Stir gently once to combine flavors.

12

Garnish

Garnish with a lime wedge. Serve immediately.

Sparkling Fruit Spritzer (single-serving)

13

Prepare glass

Fill a glass with 1 cup ice and add 2 oz fruit juice.

14

Sweeten (optional)

If you prefer sweeter, add 0.5 oz simple syrup or agave and stir to combine with the juice.

15

Top with sparkling water

Pour 6 oz chilled sparkling water into the glass. Stir gently once to combine without losing too much fizz.

16

Garnish and serve

Add fresh fruit slices or berries for garnish. Serve immediately.
