Method

Prepare meats

1

Bring to room temperature

Remove bacon, ham, and sausage from the refrigerator 10–15 minutes before cooking so they cook evenly. Pat sausages and ham dry with paper towel if damp.

2

If the ham slice is very large, trim to the desired serving size (about the same length as the bacon). If sausages are linked, separate them.

Cook bacon

3

Heat a large nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Lay the 3 bacon slices in a single layer without overlapping. Cook 3–4 minutes on the first side until edges start to brown; flip and cook 2–4 minutes more until crispness reaches your preference. Reduce heat slightly if bacon is browning too quickly.

4

Transfer cooked bacon to a plate lined with paper towel to drain. Reserve 1 teaspoon of bacon fat in the skillet and discard any excess; if there isn’t enough fat, add the 1 teaspoon vegetable oil.

Cook sausages

5

With the skillet over medium heat and the reserved bacon fat + oil, add the 3 sausage links. Cook sausages 3–4 minutes per side, turning frequently to brown evenly. If they are thicker, cover the skillet with a lid for the last 3–4 minutes and reduce heat to medium-low to ensure they cook through (internal temperature 160°F / 71°C for pork).

6

When sausages are cooked through and well browned, transfer to the paper-towel-lined plate with the bacon to rest for 2–3 minutes.

Cook ham

7

Add 1 tablespoon butter to the skillet and melt over medium heat. When bubbling, add the ham slice. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until the edges are lightly caramelized and warmed through. While cooking, sprinkle the 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon black pepper evenly over the ham (adjust to taste).

8

If you prefer slightly glazed ham, spoon some of the pan juices over the ham as it finishes cooking.

9

Transfer ham to the serving plate with bacon and sausage and let rest 1 minute.

Finish & serve

10

Arrange the 3 bacon slices, 1 ham slice, and 3 sausage links on a warm plate. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the meats if using.

11

Serve immediately with a lemon wedge if desired (a light squeeze brightens the ham). Enjoy while hot.
